Wanderlust isn’t just the name
of a Danielle Steel book that influenced me at a young age. It’s also an
apt description of why I became a travel consultant. When I was a girl, my mother
would take me to visit my grandfather who lived in Hawaii, which seemed like such
an exotic and exciting place. By age 20, when I went to Europe for the first time,
I was hooked on seeing the world. These days my husband likes to kid me that I
was probably a gypsy in a former life, because travel is such an intrinsic part
of my makeup. Different cultures fascinate me, and I believe that every trip is
a good trip. I’m a big fan of the Caribbean and Mexico, especially the Mayan
Riviera, where the water is so blue it looks like they put food coloring in it.
And, I’m always ready to go back to Hawaii, land of my roots and a spiritually
uplifting place for me.
As part of the Cruisingco.com team since 1998, I like to plan all types of trips.
We book a lot of cruises and leisure vacations, and we have a huge Disney following.
In fact, along with Hawaii and Mexico, Disney World is one of our most-requested
destinations for honeymoons. I can provide complete itinerary planning, whether
it's arranging priority dining reservations for the bride and groom or making
sure that the newlyweds have a gift waiting for them when they first arrive.
I pride myself on my people skills. I pay close attention to all of my clients’
requests and acknowledge any special occasions that they’re celebrating.
I’m prompt and meticulous, and I get back to my clients right away with
answers to their questions. I don’t like to disappoint anyone on their vacation,
because people work so hard all year and deserve the trip of their dreams. As
their itinerary comes together, I get just as excited as they do, sharing with
them my passion for the art of travel – something far more wonderful than
any romance novel.
