Whether you’re going to visit Grandma or embarking on a 14-day cruise, travel is an adventure. I found that out when I was a little girl during vacations with my parents, and at the end of each trip I was ready to go somewhere else. From my high school internship at a travel agency -- where I typed vouchers and filed brochures -- to my past 25 years as a travel consultant, I’ve always been eager to explore the world. One of my favorite things to do in a destination is to get to the tallest point in order to see the panorama below. Whether it’s a pyramid in the Yucatan or a skyscraper in Sydney, that's where I'll be.

While I’m adept at booking all types of travel, I love sending people on cruises, because I personally enjoy them so much. I know Alaska like the back of my hand, and the information flows out of me naturally. I have fun arranging visits to Europe, particularly Italy and Greece, and sometimes add pre- and post-cruise excursions for clients with extra time. I’m equally savvy about Tahiti and the Caribbean, where ships carry passengers to dreamy tropical destinations.

Customer service is one of my key strengths. When I’m working with people, I take the same approach as when I plan my own travel. I put myself in their shoes and tune into their needs, doing everything necessary to meet their expectations and budgets. From my past experiences, I’ve learned that there are always plusses and minuses in every trip -- from an unexpectedly great dinner at a hole-in-the-wall café to a boring tablemate on a cruise -- and you can’t control certain factors, like the weather. So, with novice travelers, I help them understand that it’s important to go with the flow, because their attitude can make all the difference. Another thing I try to stress with clients is the geography of the places they’re going. You can’t have a wedding in Tahiti one day and a honeymoon in Fiji the next; it just won’t work logistically. And, I keep an eye on trends, from weather patterns to airline schedules. That’s the sort of know-how I strive to share, so my clients can get out there and enjoy the world to the fullest.
