My mother has been a travel consultant since I was four years old, so even before I joined the profession in 2006, travel has come naturally to me. I have a passion for teaching people about new cultures and helping them think outside the box. I’ve explored the world and feel confident selling the destinations I’ve experienced, like the Galapagos, Europe, the Orient, Australia, Africa, Mexico and every island in the Caribbean. I research each trip to the utmost, trying to learn as much as possible ahead of time. And while I have earned certifications in many different regions and markets, I don’t feel like an expert until I see a place firsthand. This approach comes in particularly handy when I'm coordinating destination weddings. Every place I visit, I delve into the many ways to have a wedding there, from the permitting process to location-specific customs and traditions.

I particularly enjoy planning intergenerational travel. The parents and children can spend some time on their own adventures while the grandparents do their thing; then they can all come together for fun as a family. More and more people are embracing this trend because they don't see each other much during their normal lives, and travel presents a perfect way to reconnect. I wholeheartedly recommend multi-family trips to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand, where there’s a diversity of exotic activities from elephant rides and mountain climbing to museum-hopping. Another good place for intergenerational travel is Costa Rica, with its ziplining, shopping and cultural tours. Cruises are perfect for families, with a range of pastimes and something new at each port of call. Tours by train are yet another great possibility for a clan. In each case, everyone sees the trip in a different way, but they’re making memories together.

I love photography and take thousands of photos whenever I travel. Perhaps that explains why I find beauty everywhere I go. I believe there’s always something positive and special to experience, whether it’s on a no-frills bus excursion through Spain or at a five-star resort in Hawaii. I love all aspects of my trips, from canopy flying – despite a fear of heights -- to horseback riding in the pouring rain. Don’t be surprised when I ask you to try something different from what you’ve done before. You’ll be happy you said yes!
