THE WESTIN MAUI Resort & Spa embodies the essence of romance. Couples take in breathtaking views of neighboring islands Molokai and Lanai as they relax on Maui’s unrivaled Ka’anapali Beach and play in the cobalt-blue waters just offshore. Seemingly anchored by Black Rock, at the point where the legendary landmark meets the Pacific, the four-diamond destination offers a spectacular backdrop for a Hawaiian wedding and honeymoon.
The Westin specializes in events for 2 to 200 guests and more. The sea-view Hale Aloha Gazebo, set amid trickling streams and tropical flowers, provides an unforgettable setting for an intimate ceremony, while the Aloha Pavilion with its cascading waterfalls and towering palms is perfectly suited for larger affairs.
Wedding specialists with expertise in planning the big day assist in everything from menu recommendations to floral arrangements to securing a videographer to record the event for all time. Newlyweds can commence their journey together with one of the honeymoon and romance packages, all of which include a sunset cruise, a couples massage and a romantic dinner for two.
Meanwhile, family members may spend their days snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, sailing or golfing at one of two championship courses. They may pamper themselves with a Hawaiian lomi lomi massage or other signature treatments at the Heavenly Spa. Or they may head to the 87,000 square feet of outdoor space dedicated to five swimming pools, two waterslides and a swim-through grotto with dual waterfalls and hidden whirlpool.
Dining—another resort highlight—draws on the island’s multicultural influences and bounty of fresh ingredients. ‘Ono Bar & Grill, a poolside venue, features family favorites and Hawaiian-style tapas. Tropica sets an exotic mood with an outdoor setting of cascading waterfalls and tiki torches for feasting on island fish and steak. And no visit would be complete without an evening at the Wailele Polynesian Luau for fine food, music and fire dancing.
When it’s time to retire, guests head to one of 759 rooms and suites facing serene mountain or ocean views. All feature private lanais, fresh modern decor and such luxurious amenities as Heavenly Beds and Heavenly Baths.
