Location Specific Information

Hailed as one of the world’s best places to stay by Travel + Leisure magazine, Palm Island is a 135- acre oasis of serenity in St. Vincent and The Grenadines, a chain of exotic isles near Grenada and St. Lucia.

Time passes slowly on this private isle, where few things have changed since it was first discovered. Couples relax and recharge amid a Caribbean paradise of secluded powder-soft beaches, swaying coconut trees and lush tropical gardens. While some prefer to simply lounge by water’s edge, others stroll panoramic hiking trails that show off indigenous flora and fauna, including exotic iguanas.

Days can also be spent sailing, snorkeling, kayaking or exploring the surrounding Tobago cays. As the sun sets, lovers savor romantic cruises, cocktails at the bar or dinner for two at the beachside “heart table.”

As part of Palm Island’s all-inclusive policy, couples enjoy three meals daily, top-shelf beverages, daily afternoon tea plus a weekly manager’s cocktail party and beach barbecue. Two gourmet restaurants with outdoor dining by the sea serve up such island delights as banana pancakes and Caribbean jerk chicken.

The resort’s 42 sumptuously appointed rooms, cottages, lofts and villas reflect the pristine setting outside with custom bamboo furnishings, woven rattan ceilings and bold, colorful fabrics. Guests who stay in a Beachfront Room take in views of the water and nearby Union Island from a private terrace. Garden or seaside Island Lofts also come with ocean-view decks as well as spacious sitting areas and deep-soaking tubs.

The property’s two Villas promise a true “fantasy island” getaway with a range of special perks: multiple timber decks overlooking the water, a tiled dining terrace and an arbor patio, plus a personal golf cart to ride around the island. One villa also comes with its own infinity-edge swimming pool. Additionally, both escapes are fully stocked with fresh fruits, snacks and beverages, including two bottles of champagne.

Weddings in this private island sanctuary are intimate affairs. A professional coordinator assists couples with all the preparations for their special occasion, such as the venue decor, wedding cake and bridal bouquet. Ceremonies typically take place steps from the sea, followed by a reception at the Royal Palm or Sunset Grill restaurants.
