Ideally situated in the Village off Sixth Avenue and Bleecker Street, The Alger House is a great wedding and reception location for you to share your special day with family and friends.

The Great Room of this thirty by ninety foot, historic carriage house has the scale and dignity of the large mansion ballrooms of yesteryear. It can seat 100 guests comfortably in half the space, but its large features lend intimacy to a small group of 25. Many antique and fabulous furnishings and decorations enrich this wonderful party space, and the dancing area is large.

The large Garden Room is the perfect site for an additional bar, a changing room, an entertainment lounge, a ceremony site, or a cocktail reception. The piano and other antique furnishings evokes a feeling of rich elegance. The wood-burning Victorian fireplace is cozy and welcoming.

The huge antique bathroom with many interesting appointments often causes guests to exclaim, "I could live in here!"
