Sheraton Sonoma County – Petaluma745 Baywood Drive Petaluma, CA
Weddings – indeed all celebrations here involve the entire hotel staff, who focus their efforts on one goal: making your event as wonderful as possible. That collective dedication is the reason that in 2004 the Sheraton Sonoma County – Petaluma was recognized as one of the leading Starwood Hotels in North America. It?s no wonder this place has become one of the North bay?s most significant wedding venues.
The Sheraton Petaluma Hotel, just 32 miles north of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, sits perched on the Petaluma Marina adjacent to over 300 acres of protected and evolving wetlands with 3 miles of paved and graveled trails for hiking and biking.
The exterior design of the four-story Sheraton Petaluma Hotel follows the clean, fresh lines and architectural style of the existing Marina buildings to give guests a feeling of comfortable elegance at the gateway to Northern California wine country. With marina, wetland and mountain views. We have 183 deluxe guestrooms, including three suites and 27 rooms on the 4th floor Club Level. All rooms include laptop-sized safes and refrigerators and are classically appointed in a soothing palette of earth tones with rich espresso finish on the furniture. One bi-level suite, the American Bittern, has a home theater surround sound system and 60″ TV.
The hotel offers other amenities, some of which you will seldom find elsewhere: two riverside docks welcome daytime boat berthing; the hotel?s technology includes wireless PC setups; and the front desk can program guests? number into a bride?s phone so that she can instantly reach any of them without an operator. Our signature restaurant has an elegant lounge, full service cocktail bar, patio dining and raw bar perfect for any formal or informal occasion. Jellyfish, featuring the inspired menus of executive chef Wayne VanAkin, offers an uncommonly exquisite dining experience with an explosive fusion of flavors complemented by a global wine list. The main wedding and reception site is the Great Blue Heron Ballroom, named after one of the grand birds that fly into the over 300-acre wetland next to the hotel. Its amber-colored chandeliers and sophisticated palette of cooper, yellows and subdued whites, create a memorable space. Up on the second floor, the Snowy Egret Room easily accommodates more intimate receptions, rehearsal dinners and indoor ceremonies. Accessed via the glass staircase, it has a full wall of windows and an adjoining balcony that overlook the marina.
