I Do.
The legacy of a wedding is a union that will last a lifetime. A Meadowood wedding is a magical beginning to a new life as husband and wife. I’ll never tire of the most special wedding day moments… a bride on her father’s arm, a groom’s proud smile as he faces his future. “It’s incredible when a bride puts her arms around me and tells me that her special day exceeded all her expectations. Because I spend as much as a year with families before the wedding date, I grow to know them well enough to share and rejoice in their happiness. That is my true good fortune.”
Lori Wickersham, Meadowood Weddings
Settled on a private estate, Meadowood is a center of social, cultural and viticultural life in Napa Valley and a second home for those who enjoy the beauty and hospitality of the wine country.
Nestled into a beautiful, two hundred-fifty acre valley, Meadowood is reminiscent of a private estate in a bygone era. Gracious hospitality defines the style of service and timeless, natural beauty the sense of place.
The property features championship croquet lawns, seven tennis courts, a nine-hole walking golf course, hiking trails, swimming, a full-service health spa, a wine educator, an annual cultural affairs calendar, eighty-five guest rooms and wine country cuisine. The Meadowood sitting located in the heart of Napa Valley, Meadowood’s character comes from its setting. Recognized as a special place for centuries for its natural protection, abundant water and fertile land, Meadowood is a place of great beauty and rare seclusion.
Meadowood’s natural valley, which cascades from the peak of the forest through the oak woodlands settling at the meadow’s edge, is a natural and abundant habitat for wildlife and native flora. The woodlands at the meadow’s edge inspired the name Meadowood.
Passing through the estate is Meadowood Creek, which feeds the ponds that lie in the shadows of the oak woods and runs the length of the estate to the Napa River below. Meadowood: Forty Years of Tradition
While other hotels, clubs, restaurants and spas have opened their doors during the last two decades, none have surpassed Meadwoood as the original, authentic, ultimate Napa Valley experience.
For the last twenty-five years, Meadowood has served as the preeminent wine country destination for discerning travelers to the region. With beautiful architecture, diverse amenities and activities, and a professional staff that includes a tennis pro, golf pro, croquet pro, wine educator and cultural affairs director, among others, the experience on the estate has continued to evolve with Napa Valley itself.
Today, Meadowood expresses the authenticity of Napa Valley and brings guests and members closer to the timeless traditions of the region. The property continues to serve as the common ground for the local vintner community as well as an integral part of the cultural and social fabric of Napa Valley life. On the estate today, both guests and members enjoy the diversity of wine country life, the traditions of living by the seasons and the rewards of treasuring the bounty of the land whether enjoying the local wines, cuisine or simply the beautiful, tranquil setting.
A Refined Country Warmth
The need for sensibility dictated an honest use of natural materials and simplicity in Meadowood’s design. These characteristics are still found today in the straight-forward architecture of the guest cottages sensitively tucked into the hillside and the simplicity of stone walls erected by Chinese craftsmen over a century ago. Meadowood has an honest and straightforward style, rooted in its heritage. Its quality is grounded in a clear understanding of what works. It is a refined country warmth, a gracious hospitality that is welcoming and rooted in the traditions of grape growing and winemaking that are the heart of Napa Valley.
