Destination Wedding Wediquette | Planning Your Wedding Away From Home
The Destination Wedding is more popular than ever. With more couples paying a significant portion, if not all of their wedding expenses, the Destination Wedding has become more attractive for many reasons. While some brides will pay for everyone more recognize that a destination wedding can reduce cost and increase experience. Hotels are most interested in room nights and if your wedding party is going to occupy 20-30 room nights for 3-4 nights you have leverage. Additionally, when you invite guests to your destination wedding your guests traditionally absorb the bulk of the expense. Of course the expectation is to have a wonderful bridal event with entertainment, food and drink but the hotel will work with you to surpass expectations because you have filled rooms, or what the hotels refer to as “Heads in Beds”. Destination Wedding etiquette is a little different than a standard wedding so do your homework.
